GENTLEMAN CAR RACING TEAM: BOUND FOR DAYTONA!

The Shelby Cobra 289 FIA belonging to Xavier Dayraut—an official driver for the Gentleman Car Racing Team—is heading to the United States!
After representing Gentleman Car on European circuits, Xavier is preparing to take on a new challenge at an iconic venue: the Daytona International Speedway.

The Cobra has just been loaded up to undergo customs formalities before being shipped by sea to the U.S. In about a month and a half, it will arrive on American soil to compete in the HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hours 2026, running from November 10 to 15.

This grand finale of the Sixties’ Endurance series, organized by Peter Auto, will allow drivers to relive the golden age of American motorsport on a legendary track where Shelby Cobras helped write history.

As Philippe Médart puts it: now, all that remains is to wish Xavier pole position and—why not?—an outright victory!
