Anecdote
CSX2287, the very first Daytona Coupe built, was rediscovered after nearly 30 years in obscurity—a true barn find, widely regarded as one of the greatest discoveries in American automotive history.

While the Cobra roadsters dominated tight American circuits, their aerodynamics were no match for Europe’s high-speed tracks such as Le Mans. In 1964, Carroll Shelby entrusted Peter Brock and Ken Miles with developing a closed-cockpit version: the Daytona Coupe. Driven by legends including Dan Gurney and Phil Hill, it captured the 1965 FIA GT World Championship, making Shelby the only American manufacturer ever to win the title.

Today’s Shelby Daytona Coupe Continuation models faithfully preserve the spirit, design and driving experience of the original.
